“Commandment: A mitzvah is a commandment from God that Jewish people are expected to follow. The Torah, or Hebrew Old Testament, contains 613 mitzvot.
Good deed: A mitzvah can also refer to a charitable act or deed of kindness that is performed to fulfill a commandment, including taking care of the sick.”
Here at Go With Courage, we believe the work that we have been doing since our official incorporation in 2011, in particular our family support program, We’ve Got Your Back, is a mitzvah – plain and simple. We are not compensated for our efforts.
Every dollar that we raise, above the cost of running our events, is donated to either fund cancer research or to support families impacted by cancer.
It is for this reason that we are honored that a select group of children have chosen to benefit Go With Courage with their Mitzvah Projects, at the same time that they prepare to become young adults.

In 2024, Olivia Lippmann forged the path forward by creating our first Mitzvah Project in honor of her beautiful mother, Emilie, a breast cancer survivor and an integral member of our Go With Courage community.
Olivia’s energetic family/friends-based marketing campaign led to a record-breaking number of advertisement sales in our Spring Journal – furthering the mission of Go With Courage- and allowing the mitzvot of We’ve Got Your Back to live on.
In 2025, Zoey Kornblau plans to become our first We’ve Got Your Back Chairperson for her Mitzvah Project. Inspired by a strong desire to help those in need and to honor the memory of her Grandma Carol and Aunt Michelle, Zoey hopes to fundraise through our Spring Journal, with all funds raised earmarked for the continuation of We’ve Got Your Back.
Additionally, Zoey would like to create personally designed note cards of support to accompany the many packages and gift cards sent to We’ve Got Your Back recipients to lift their spirits during their time of need.
If you or someone you know is interested in choosing Go With Courage for their Mitzvah Project, please reach out to us and we will create a custom plan for you – one that is both meaningful and impactful in the fight to find a cure for cancer and support families affected by cancer in a myriad of ways.
